I believe that experiences should be memorable and engaging. There’s no excuse for bad usability and I refuse to settle for average or conventional.
When I’m given a task of any sort, I have a strong ambition to see it all the way through, from conception to completion. That’s just my nature. When it comes to design, it’s no different.
That nature has led me to 9 years of professional design experience in the Fashion Industry performing & responsible for every step of the design process. Being involved in the entire process, I’ve had the opportunity to design from conception to fruition, direct photoshoots, and work closely with creative directors and social media marketing teams to help conceptualize, style and build a brand’s story. I’ve helped to re-brand labels from the bottom up, and I’ve even co-founded a fashion brand of my own.
It wasn't until I started working on my own brand's website, that I realized that not only have I developed the skills of a Digital UI/UX Designer, but I have a passion for creating and building a brand's presence from every angle of design. I acquired a love and strong sensibility for conceptualizing and building beautiful and elevated, yet intuitive & interactive, user experiences that showcase a brand's aesthetic. With my ambitious and solution-oriented nature, I am always eager to find the root of a problem and design elevated solutions that push creative boundaries.
Maybe its because I was a dancer for most of my adolescence, but I’m a huge fan of movement. I love playing with animation and designing engaging & captivating interactions to make the user experience memorable. As Rihanna once said, “It’s something in the way you move.” Movement done right and with purpose elevates the experience by keeping the user engaged and evoking emotion in users' minds, ultimately, making the user want to “stay,” or in other words increases conversions. Get it?
Now certified in visual design and communications, I am focused on the digital side of my career.
